Preventive Gynaecology & Women’s Wellness Screening
Preventive Gynaecology & Women’s Wellness Screening
Preventive Gynaecology
Preventive healthcare is one of the most powerful tools available to protect women's long-term health. Many of the most serious conditions affecting women — including cervical cancer, certain sexually transmitted infections, and endocrine disorders — can be detected at an early, treatable stage through regular screening.
Yet preventive gynaecology remains underutilised, with many women presenting only when symptoms are already significant. Dr. Ruby Rashmi offers comprehensive preventive gynaecology services, designed to keep women informed, screened, and supported at every stage of life.

Cervical Cancer Screening
Cervical cancer is largely preventable through regular screening and HPV vaccination. We provide Pap smear (cytology) and HPV testing to identify high-risk strains.
- Aged 21–29: Pap smear every 3 years.
- Aged 30–65: Co-testing (Pap + HPV) every 5 years.
- Risk factors: May require more frequent screening.
Managed as per ACOG, RCOG, and UAE Health Authority guidance.
Breast Health Awareness
Gynaecological consultations are an opportunity to reinforce breast health awareness and self-examination techniques.
While mammography is managed through radiology, we ensure patients understand when to seek evaluation. Any concerning breast findings identified during your consultation are promptly referred for specialist radiological assessment.
Family Planning Counseling
Family planning is a core component of women's preventive health. Dr. Ruby Rashmi provides evidence-based counseling on the full range of options:
• Oral contraceptive pills
• Long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs)
• Barrier methods
• Emergency contraception
Options are tailored to each patient's health profile, lifestyle, and reproductive goals.
